I'm afraid these events don't particularly interest me John ...

But I did catch some of the Winter Olympics on the tv. Those huge leaps into the air with about 20 twists and saults before landing - I always held my breath thinking someone was going to pop their knee or land on their head and break their neck. I did see one contestant (might have been Australia) crash land, but she did it quite safely I noticed ... they must practice landing safely quite a lot. It seemed almost 50-50 as to whether a contestant landed or crashed - the look of relief and excitement at just landing it without crashing on the contestant's face was funny.

I only managed to catch about 5 minutes of the winter olympics coverage while in the waiting room at physio. Channel 9 sucked. Unless you were home during the morning hours, you completely missed out.

Going to the Broncs v Cowboys game on Friday. I don't have any real comment on NRL this year either except that I am bitterly disappointed that the Cowboys took on Big Willy, the do-nothing whinger. I suspect my Bronc's will end up in the middle of the pack due to their lack of experience, but youth might overcome Jarred Hayne.

The V8s have had some play at our place, but as Raistlin seems to have abandoned this place, you won't get much input from here.

Paul will be happy when the F1 starts. I will not. I suppose I can't complain as it really is the only sport he watches or tapes but still.....practice, qualifiying, pre race show, race, after race show.

I felt I had to watch some of the Olympics and I did wear my red mitts. Go Canada.

Jay is in pre-season frenzy - I'm a bit meh this season. Haven't bought our memberships yet, wondering whether we will or forego this year...

Got my Swans membership (and the folks') so will be attending matches but my interest has waned somewhat in recent years not that I've ever been a true fanatic.

Since I have not really supported one AFL team except for whoever is playing Collingwood is my team for a day I still find myself picking sides during a game on TV but most of all like to be able to admire the standard and excitement of most games nowadays. When you watch footage of the golden oldies they persist in showing at different times during the season I wonder how the hell did I think they were so good some of the premiership sides of yesteryear would be battling to beat Richmond today ( Sorry Dee  ).

Well, we finally have become Broncos members. I used to get free tickets through work when we were the main sponsors (before we sold out to WOW), but that stopped last year and we missed going to the games. We went to the first match this season and were reminded just how much we love it, and Raistlin worked is butt off in the rain the other weekend so we had the spare cash and we are now fully fledged Broncoss members.

Now to start putting away the money so we can renew next year!

I did the smart thing and went to the mall shopping while Paul watched the qualifying and the first F1 race on tape. 8)

My AFL tipping was 6 out of 8 so just ok.
Dee and Jays' team in league had a good win.
F1 wasn't boring.
Here on the west coast the world record for the most waterskiers at the one time for 1km was broken at the 8th attempt  Now stands at
.......... 114 skiers :!: ................

Would I be right in saying that there is a good chance of a ceremonial sacrifice by fire of scarves and memberships tonight at Dee and Jays abode.

My NRL tipping has been average. 5 4 5 4 2 and finally a decent 6 in the last round. I don't expect much better since I tip based on which team I like better than using any critique of their form.

Am only in AFL tipping on NovaFM this year, here are my current stats:

Rank 473 / 4686
Points 28
Profile Movement
27 (up)
Round Points 0
Last Rank 500
Best Rank 433
Worst Rank 4573

Even with a dismal 4 last week I still moved up and am only 6 off the lead. Quite happy with that, actually.

Am getting more into my dreamteam this year and am 2nd on my league ladder after 2 official rounds, "Nana Has A Todger" will prevail!!! I'm even bothering to trade out crap players and keep an eye on potential players, hell I even have the laptop on and refreshing while watching matches on TV! Craziness...

Swans top of the ladder - LEGENDS!!!
